Sofar Sounds Paris
Sofar Sounds is a global community that puts on gigs in apartments and other unexpected, intimate venues.
I was a volunteer team member in the Paris between 2014-2019, mainly helping to co-ordinate events and community managing the Instagram page. I also dabbled in everything from band booking and photography to occasional MCing throughout the years.
One of my proudest accomplishments was organising an International Women’s Day event in collaboration with walking tour company Women of Paris and period poverty charity Règles Élémentaires. We asked guests to bring period products as part of their entry fee and as a result were able to collect a huge number of goods for donation.
